Farewell Principal Mr Chadwick

On behalf of the board of Korean International School, we are sad to announce that Principal Mr Chadwick is to set aside his duties and obligations and enter retirement at the end of this academic year. He continues his position through this school year, retiring in July 2023.

Mr Chadwick has been with Korean International School for 7 years since 2016. Under Mr Chadwick’s leadership, KIS has grown exponentially and is now one of the top 10 schools in Hong Kong, being a school of choice. His time with us has seen a period of huge growth from less than 400 students in 2016 to 700 this year. The growth of the school was a great achievement, but the part he contributed to the quality improvement of the school should be evaluated more highly. With his personal and practical approach to leadership, he inspired many students and staff to see themselves as able to change the world and themselves for the better.

It is a sad moment as we say farewell to Mr Chadwick. Korean International School’s culture, vision and principles have flourished under his leadership. With his humour, energy, ideas and humility he truly embodies the underlying belief of our community in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Mr Chadwick is taking a well-earned break. He says he is retiring from work not life. One of his new objectives is to spend time with his grandchildren on grandparenting duties.

We all send him our deep thanks for his service to our school, and sincere best wishes to Mr Chadwick for the new season of his journey.
