ART & DESIGN
Introduction
Art is not only about knowledge and skill but also a record of the evolution process of civilization. It is the evidence of human civilization which represents some of the highest forms of human creativity. Art education is to inspire students to develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design through practice and theory. Students then contribute their creativity to society and become part of the culture.
Based on the National Curriculum for England, students at KIS learn a wide range of art and design knowledge and technique, including visual elements, design principles, and the history of art, as well as manipulate various mediums in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture.
