At the KIS, we recognize the importance of learning a second language, and we are proud to offer a comprehensive Spanish curriculum that fosters linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding. Our Spanish program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the Spanish language, while also exposing them to the rich diversity of Spanish-speaking cultures around the world.

We believe in the importance of early language learning. That’s why we offer Spanish as a foreign language for beginners from Year 3 to Year 6 in our Primary Spanish Curriculum. Our program is designed to introduce students to the Spanish language and culture in a dynamic and engaging way.

Key Features of our Primary Spanish Curriculum:

  1. Language Skills Development: In our Primary Spanish classes, students will work on developing their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills. Through interactive activities, games, and exercises, students will gradually build a solid foundation in the Spanish language.
  2. Cultural Exploration: Our Primary Spanish Curriculum goes beyond language learning. We expose students to the rich and diverse cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Students will learn about customs, traditions, music, and art fostering a greater appreciation and understanding of different cultures.
  3. Academic, Fun, and Dynamic Classes: Our experienced Spanish teachers create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and engaged. Classes are designed to be academic, fun, and dynamic, focusing on interactive learning activities that make language acquisition enjoyable.
  • Events: Hong Kong Spanish Speech and Culture Festival (HKSSCF) The Korean International School takes part in the Hispanic Culture Festival every year in Hong Kong. This is a great opportunity for our students to develop their interest in the Spanish language and Hispanic cultural and artistic expressions.

By participating in our Primary Spanish Curriculum, students will develop a basic foundation in the Spanish language and gain cultural awareness that will benefit them in their future language-learning endeavours.
