MISSION & VALUES

find PASSION; foster VISION; encourage ACTION

KIS Mission

Korean International School (KIS) is a unique educational community that brings together two distinct schools within one institution, each offering a well-established and respected curriculum. The Korean Section follows the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, with both the Principal and teaching staff appointed directly by the Ministry to ensure authenticity and academic rigour. In parallel, the International Section delivers the UK Cambridge International Programme, providing a globally recognised pathway that fosters critical thinking, inquiry, and academic excellence.

While each section maintains its own curriculum and educational approach, KIS is united by a shared vision and a strong sense of community. The school embraces its dual identity as a strength, creating a culturally rich and diverse learning environment where students benefit from both local and international perspectives. Across both sections, KIS is committed to nurturing students’ academic growth, personal well-being, and character development. This commitment is reflected in everything we do, guided by the KIS slogan: “find PASSION, foster VISION, encourage ACTION.”

At the heart of KIS is a common mission: to empower every student to become a confident, compassionate, and responsible individual. By fostering mutual respect, global-mindedness, and a lifelong love of learning, KIS prepares students to thrive as active contributors in an ever-changing world.
