BYOD Device Usage Policy for Secondary Students

Students should be using BYOD (recommended by school) device as instructed by the form tutor or specialist teacher in classrooms
Student should be using their device at school only for learning purpose and going to any irrelevant websites (e.g. Games, You tube etc..) without teachers permission is strictly prohibited
Students should ensure that their device is fully charged before coming to school
In order to identify lost devices and accessories student should label their names on the device and S-Pen
The use of device is prohibited in the school premises during lunch or break time and in between lessons
The school will not be responsible if the student has lost his device at school though the school will try and help the students to find the lost device
No external electronic devices will be allowed in classrooms for Y7-Y11, SBP & SB Post 16
All student who are new to KIS and have ordered the BYOD device recommended by school, can loan out a Chrome book from Rm 104 (contact Mr. Hui) until the student has received the new BYOD device
Students should follow the school rules and should have signed ‘KIS-IS Guidelines for Computer Network Usage’ form in the beginning of school year
In case of trouble shooting with student BYOD (recommended by school) device under warranty, the student can hand over the device with the sales memo to Rm 104, contact Mr. Hui. Mr. Hui will help to take the student device to Samsung service center. A substitute Chrome book will be handed out to the respective student until the device is returned after service
